My work with couples is often in the context of the relationship's effect on the family. Struggling couples often triangulate their children into the dynamics of their relationship. Sorting out these complicated relationships is critical to the healthy development of children in any family. There are times I work with couples as a parenting coach to assist in developing clear boundaries in a family as well as teaching parents the necessity of consistency for children.

I also work with couples who are about to become parents and are working to negotiate the unknown future with new life in the home. My work with couples also includes mature couples who are facing retirement and renegotiating the aspects of their lives and relationship. Many couples I see are seeking out my services to evaluate if their relationship is still viable or if they need to transition into living separate lives in as peaceful a process as is possible.

Since I worked many years in forensic areas, I am comfortable working with high conflict couples and couples struggling with addiction and fidelity issues.  Please see download section for additional information on this subject area.
